Echoes Records are proud to present the solo project from one the most interesting acts to come out of Israel in some years; Sheff, also known as half of the duo Quantize. In the progressive trance project Quantize, Reshef Harari has had massive success in the last couple of years- especially after the release of their debut album "Time" on Iboga Records in 2008. They have been touring the world extensively, with appearances at the major parties and festivals in countries like Brazil, Mexico and Germany.

Reshef has always had a deep love for techno music though, so the Sheff project was born to finally express his love to the genre, as well as explore all the opportunities and tricks that it offers. Some fat productions are already circulating between the top DJ's, and Echoes Records, Italo Business and Open Records have already signed with this new and exciting project.

The first release is "Indigo", and it can best be described as organic, deep and sleazy with a heavy, cheeky bassline underneath( big dancefloor tune).

The remix is provided by Italian wonder-brothers Piatto, who surely are one of the hotter acts in tech circuits at the moment. They are behind the popular label Italo Business as well as the sub-label N.O.I.A. Records, and as producers they have appeared on top labels like 303 Lovers, Hell Yeah, Stereo Seven, 1605 and Diva Records. Expect a solid, hands-in-the-air techy remix.

The thing that distinguishs a big producer from just a producer is his presence on stage- Does he smile, does he dance or just stares at the mixer during his set? But i'll leave the person himself this time, and concentrate on the music, also because i didn't really have the chance to see the next artist performing.

Think of the last time you danced hard in a party. You can probaly pick one track that did it more to you than the others. One that raised hands in the air, one that made your stomach burn, your neck shiver and even pulled out from you shouts of joy. Or in other words- a hit. The Quantize (Reshef Harrari and Adi Askenazi) album, Time, is built on hits like these. Either a trend or an inner drive, like many others recently, Reshef from Quantize started a new techno project called Sheff.

The first track from this project, Indigo, like the Quantize tracks, is a massive dancefloor hit. It Starts off with a crumbled sound later on joined by a grating sound, and continues with an evolving bass line going through interesting plays. A great dish served extremely hot.
The Piatto's remix has no chance to surpass the original track, because Indigo does not need a remix. Piatto's version sounds pretty standard, even boring. Bottom line- do not miss the the original.
